Who would've thought Glock made field shovels?
GLOCK's field shovel weighs approximately half of the normal military issue NATO field shovel, and is just as solid if not more. Weight saving like this is a huge advantage when packing for the field or a long distance hike.
Features are as follows:
-Lockable in three configurations; pick/hoe, shovel and folded for transport
-The handle can be extended for extra momentum and locked by turning it
-Built in rootsaw in the handle. The saw doubles as a flat head screwdriver. The saw should be used with a pushing motion and not dragging motion
-Very solid and durable construction. The shovel head is made of steel and the handle is made of the same polymer Glock uses in their pistols.
This is used military surplus from the Danish army (that's why the price is so good), but still in very good usable condition. Surface rust and some dirt is present on some of the shovels but this can easily be removed with steel wool.
